Puppy skinned alive in rescue shelter

At a shelter in Upper Bogrov, Bulgaria, a 3 month old puppy named Jessy was skinned alive just one night before she was slated to go to her new home in Holland. This was an act of revenge against animal rescue efforts, which are seen as a waste of resources in Bulgaria. Someone broke into the Animal Rescue Sofia shelter and skinned her alive, leaving her remains to be found by the volunteers the following morning.

This was certainly “terror” action against the animal rescue and those who are pressuring the Bulgarian Government to take a tougher stance against animal abuse.

Spokesman Svetoslav Petrov from ARS said that since there were no traces of blood on the premises, he believes that Jessy was taken off premises and her skin and head were brought back after this horrific act. He added that a man calling himself “Chin Lee” sent a note to ARS describing how it was done in order to “keep the meat tasty and tender”.

“This act of horror was committed by those who wish to suppress the animal rights movement in Bulgaria. We must support our brothers and sisters all over the world who are pushing for laws to be put in place against animal brutality,” Marla Stormwolf-Patty, Co-Founder of A.E.L.L.A.
